Baggage Rules
Your free baggage allowance, restricted items, and lost or damaged baggage procedures.
For your safety, every ticketed passenger may carry up to two pieces of baggage, not exceeding 30 kg in total.
For your own security, hand your belongings to the baggage hold yourself and always ask for your baggage receipt. Compensation for lost property applies to baggage lost after a receipt was issued. Where no valuation has been made, compensation for a lost suitcase or similar item is limited to twice the ticket price.
The free baggage allowance is 2 (two) pieces, not exceeding 30 kg in total. Loads above this may be refused.
The passenger is solely responsible for items not handed to the baggage hold (kept in the cabin, on overhead shelves or in seat pockets) if they are forgotten, lost or stolen. The passenger is likewise responsible for items left, forgotten, mixed with other baggage or stolen on shuttle vehicles and at our terminals.
Restricted items
Your baggage must not contain the following:
- Fragile items and perishable goods
- Liquids and strong-smelling substances
- Oversized items
- Electronic devices and musical instruments
- Medication
- Valuables (money, jewellery, commercial or valuable documents, passport, ID and similar)
- Dangerous goods (firearms, ammunition, flammable and chemical substances and similar)
Our company accepts no liability for material or moral damage arising from the carriage or loss of such items.
Lost baggage
If baggage handed over against a receipt does not appear at the end of the journey, the passenger must apply the same day to the nearest Didim Seyahat terminal and complete a Lost Baggage Form.
The terminal forwards the Lost Baggage Form to the Public Relations Department. All fields on the form must be completed. Once submitted, the following units are involved in turn:
- The terminal where the claim was first made
- The Didim Seyahat Lost Property Store
- The Public Relations Department
The passenger is contacted about the outcome after 15 days. If the item is found within this period it is either recorded and deposited at the Didim Seyahat Lost Property Store against signature, or handed directly to the passenger. For items not found, compensation is paid at the assessed value where a valuation exists, otherwise up to twice the ticket price.
Damaged baggage
If baggage is damaged in transit due to a fault on our side, the passenger must have a Damage Assessment Report drawn up by a Didim Seyahat officer before leaving the terminal. The original report is sent to the Didim Seyahat Public Relations Department. The passenger is contacted about the outcome after 1 week and the case is concluded.
